For dance or sports 30P will also introduce some judder too as the temporal motion of 60i will be halved.

I suggest deinterlacing to help cram more video on a single disk in situations where the encoder would otherwise severely drop the quality due to insufficient bitrate. In high motion scenes such as sports and dance, deinterlacing can introduce a strobing effect; however, depending on the source video this may be a reasonable trade off.
For 50i deinterlace to 25p. |
