Pro Eval with mts 60p

I downloaded the Pro evaluation to see if I can get better renders than I'm getting with VMS 10. I realize the problem is my TM700's 60p frame rate. When I render to 60i, the video looks great. Anything else...kinda fuzzy, not so great.

There is nothing professional about what I do. Strictly amateur. I'd like to learn more about the rendering process so any pointers are appreciated.

If you have any tips about rendering an mts 60p file to 24p or there abouts, please let me know.

Thanks,
Burt

Re: Pro Eval with mts 60p

One of the basic tips:

Whenever you are rescaling video on a render (changing its size), be sure to go into the custom render settings, and select Quality = Best.

I don't do this on every rescaling render, it does take more time. But, if I have a problem with fuzzyness or anything else that might be related to scaling, this is the first control to grab. "Best" uses a different method for rescaling, more processor intensive, but frequently better.

This method is not needed for renders that don't rescale the video. In that, it would just take more time for no benefit.

Re: Pro Eval with mts 60p

This post was pure and simple RTFM. I downloaded the manual and a lot of things have cleared up.

Thanks for the tip.
