Sony Vegas Pro 9 wont recognize Sony FX7
Whenever I want to transfer a tape from my SonyFX7 to my computer (Sony Vaio Windows 7) the only way is if I transfer it in SD mode. It won't recognize my camera if I try it in HDV. Is there any advice out there. I seen someone else had that problem. Any help?

Aren't there 2 different capture programs in that version of Vegas? One is internal and one is external. I don't remember which recognizes HDV but I know one of them does. Check thru the Sony HDV forum here, I'm pretty sure it's been talked about before. Should be the information you're looking for.

Internal is HDV, External is DV. If it no longer asks when you choose "Capture", you need to go into the preferences and change it. Also, the camera needs to be in HDV mode.
