Moving External Hard Drives From 32bit 8 to 64 bit 10
Later this month my new computer will be here that I will be downloading an upgrade of Pro 10 64 bit onto. I currently use Pro 8 32 bit on my old system.
I have extrenal hard drives with captured footage, vegas 8 project files, etc that I want to hook up to the new computer running Vegas 10 64 bits. Since all of these Vegas files where done on 8 at 32 bits will they work with Vegas 10 at 64 bits? Will I be able to open a Sony Vegas Project file that was used on my old sys at 32 bits in the new one that runs 64 bits? |

Yes, they will work fine. The one thing to be sure is to immediately give the VEG files a new name so the original files will still open in VP8, though.

That's right but they won't work backwards (i.e. a project created in Vegas 10 will not open in Vegas 9, 8 etc). It reinforces Edward's advice about renaming.
