Project settings for 1080/30p footage?
For editing HDV footage shot with my Sony Z5 at 30p, what's the best project setting to use? There is no 30p option in the drop down menu for 1080, only 720. Do I use HDV 1080-60i (1440x1080, 29.970 fps) and simply select progressive for field order?
Also, could someone please tell me the difference in pixel format settings between 8-bit and 32-bit floating point levels? Sam |

Sam,
If you want to work on a project at the exact settings that match your footage, follow these steps. Click on File > New > and then when your new project box pops up click the folder at the top right of that box. That will open a search box and yo only need to click on one of your media bits and Vegas will match it. Hope that helps.

Remember to save it as a preset after following Mike's suggestion.
