Optimizing HDDs in Vegas (VMS Platinum 10): RAIDs and Scratch disks

Randall,

My computer is farely current, How do i know if it is running usb3.0, If not is there a care one can put in? I am running an I7 quad.

Usually, your motherboard manual tells which, if any, of your USB ports are USB 3. Other than that, Control Panel - Devices - Universal Serial Bus controllers would show a USB 3.0 Bus Controller and a USB 3.0 Bus Host. But that only tells you that you have some, but not which ones of them are 3.0.

Dale, if you are still running the Dell you bought last year, it doesn't have usb 3.
