Missing thumbnails on timeline Vegas 10
I upgraded from Vegas 8 to 10 so maybe something changed or an option added, although I can't find anything about it. When I put 1080-60i video clips on the timeline, only occassionally does the timeline show a thumbnail of the video clip. The beginning of the event will have the thumbnail, then lots of white to the next thumbnail, which might be 8 minutes down the timeline. The event plays properly. How can I display more thumbnails or is this now the normal timeline display?
Thanks. |

Options - Prefs - Video
Thumbnails to show in video events Choose a setting from the drop-down list to choose which thumbnails you want to draw in video events. None No video frames are displayed. Head Only the first frame is displayed. Head, Tail The first and last frame are displayed. Head, Center, Tail The first, middle, and last frames are displayed. All All frames are displayed. If you want to toggle audio waveforms in events, choose View > Audio Event Waveforms. |

Thanks Mike, I knew I was missing something. I don't recall ever choosing this option in any version of Vegas until 10. Maybe I just stayed with the default and never noticed it until now.

David, "Head, Center, Tail" became the new default in Pro 9 and initially caused a lot of confusion until folks figured out what was happening.
