cant get vegas to work
I just upgraded to Vegas 10. The install and registration went fine, but right after the splash screen disappears after bootup, I get an error message that reads:
"An invalid argument was specified" I have upgraded this software since Sonic Foundry Vegas Video 2.0, and have never had a problem. Im running WinXP SP3. Hardware is more than sufficient. Searched but didnt find anything. Any thoughts? thx -burk |

Googling your error message along with "Sony Vegas" turns up other cases. It seems to happen in systems that have had the ProDAD stabilizer installed. Do you have the full ProDAD Mercalli or a trial version? It is possible that it conflicts with the ProDAD code in Vegas 10, which has elements of Mercalli 1.x.
