Good deal on Vegas Pro 8
Hey all, thought I'd share a good deal that I saw on Vegas Pro 8. I know 9 is the latest version, but $180 is darn cheap if you ask me. And you can upgrade to Vegas Pro 9 cheaply too. I don't work for Sony, just passing this along.

This is way I got into Vegas pretty inexpensively, initally. I bought 7 very cheaply then upgrade to 8 and 9 successively. Something to consider.

if you get 7, do you have to upgrade to 8 before 9?

You can go directly to 9.
On the upgrade page, Sony says: Upgrade to Vegas Pro 9 from Vegas Upgrade any professional version of Vegas (Vegas Pro, Vegas Audio, or Vegas Video, Vegas, or Vegas+DVD) to Vegas Pro 9. That means that you could go from Vegas 1 directly to Vegas 9 if you wanted to. BTW, the current upgrade price is $235 so $180 is a good deal. |

If Sony follows what they've done the past few years, Pro 10 will be announced at IBC (European trade show) next month.
Then you'll have to decide if you want to make the jump to that version or not as they always have introductory pricing ($184.95 last year) for the first 30 days. |
