Is it possible to interlace 30p in Vegas Pro 9?
Hello...I have 1080\60i footage and then some 1080\30p footage to mix in a project. Is it possible to interlace the 30p to better match the 60i? 30p came from my Canon T2i and the 60i from a Sony F350. IF so, how is it dome or doe's anyone know of a tutorial on the subject?
Thanks a million! Jeff |

Jeff, if you need to match the footage you are better off deinterlacing the interlaced footage rather than interlacing the progressive, but if you are exporting interlaced don't worry about it - progressive exported as interlaced looks fine and field order doesn't matter.

Doesn't matter? Now, mind you, I've not actually tried this to see, but you so very often hear about crazy combing on 'shady' DVD issues. It didn't matter in the old analogue days, from what I understand. But in digital, I thought it does.
NTSC is bottom, lower or even field first, PAL is top, upper or odd field first. Computer display is progressive, or any output that is marked as 'p'. That's what I understand at least.
