Sony Handycam Files-To Finalize or not?
I am a Canon user and know nothing about Sony Cameras. My dear old aunt Millie dropped off a dual sided mini DVD of lil johnnys birthday party. Can Vegas see both finalized and unfinalized sony files? In this case she finalized both sides and i get .VBO and .BUP files...I think i can bring these into Vegas correct?
Would it be better practice in the future if she gave me the unfinalized files or must it be finalized for Vegas to see it? Thanks

File - Import - DVD Camcorder Disc is the option you want.
It's been a while since I've had to deal with these discs but, as I recall, they have to be finalized or Vegas can't see them. |

That makes two of us David. As far as I'm concerned, the person who invented that format should spend eternity editing the footage that comes off of them :-) |
