24p???
I'm sorry if this has been discussed in another thread, but after a semi-thorough search, I haven't come up with anything.
I'm trying to figure out a workflow for editing 24p in Vegas. What I don't understand is whether I need to do any pulldown removal beforehand or can I just set the options to 24fps and field order to none? Also, if I record in "24p" on my camera (XH-A1; so it would actually be 24F), is it exactly 24fps? Or is it twenty-three point nine-whatever?

Go to this link and look at the various 24p whitepapers:

23.976 is the framerate for editing 24f. And if it's 24f, no pulldown should be needed. only HV20 to HV30 24p requires pulldown.
If you experience ghosting, make sure the resampling is turned off. |
