CTI sync with media generators?
Hey guys,
Is this a bug thats always been in Vegas or is it just me? When using the FX windows or Pan crop windows to set key frames the main preview CTI is always in sync with the CTI in the window you are working on, therefore you can see what your keyframes are doing in the preview, yeah, agreed? Well mine does and always has. BUT, when working with any of the media generators or text generators, the CTI's are not synced and therefore I cant preview from the media or text window, and have to scrub the timeline to see what Ive done, Make sense? Is there an option to sync all CTI's somewhere? Is your install of Vegas the same? thanks in advance :)

Open the pan/crop and media generator windows. Now look just below the timeline at the available buttons. See the left button that looks like an I-beam with a lock? (the "sync cursor) button)
If you have that option turned on, the cursor will stay in sync with the timeline. Personally I ALWAYS leave that option turned OFF to prevent accidentally creating extra keyframes except for the handful of cases where I need to use it. Then I use it and immediately turn it off afterwards. However, you will notice something - that button CANNOT be turned on in any generated media. This has always been true. We have been given some reasons why it will not work with generated media (I'd have to do some research to find it) but the bottom line is that you cannot use this feature with generated media.
