How to do Color extract on Vegas?(Sin City-like)

I'd line to know how to make Color extract, similar to the function in the Sony z1, where you select 1 target Color and all the others are changed to black and white

Same as in that movie Sin City

really easy Federico,
add the FX "colour corrector secondary",
in its presets is one called- desaturate all but reds
now, go to the Limit Hue slider at the bottom right,
now move the "centre" slider along to choose which colour you want to leave and
the "width" slider to choose how accurate you want the choice of colour to be,
eg if you pick to leave blue, the width will control whether, say, purples and aqua are left, if the width is wide, or just a very specific blue if the width is narrow .
This is a great FX, i use it alot.

If you look through my newsletters at www.jetdv.com you will find instructions for both passing a single color and passing multiple colors.

thank you both

Edward, your method of creating a mask looks great but a little more complicated than the other suggestion?

You want Vol 2 #10 which has: "Color Pass Reprised - Passing Multiple Colors"

The first paragraph gives a simplified single color pass and then the rest of the article shows how to do multiple colors.

Use the AAV Colorlab plugin - about as simple as it gets
