Say you were going to create something like this in Vegas
Well actually I am...
All help and suggestions for some of the special effects used, plugins etc. very appreciated. I have a real good feel for how to do much of it, but there are some parts I'm not so sure of but this is what the client wil want. Assume no limit on budget for plugin's etc. Let me know what it would take to recreate this... Vagus Dance Party |

Your post is a bit vague...what part do you need help with exactly? The dance portion is a bit pedestrian, IMO, and unexciting. Not sure why your client would want it, but that is not my business. The PIP or whatever the editor did with three/four shots showing at once is boring and should be used sparingly, not for an entire segment. That can be done in Vegas as is, though Newblue effects has a PIP feature that would expedite the job...I forget which one it is, but go to their website and look for a package that contains the PIP plug in...very nice set of tools.

I agree that the PIP parts and some others are rather pedestrian, but like you said if it's what the client wants it's what they get :)
There are other parts in the middle especially that I'm not so sure of like the "sparkles" and some what looks kind of like a cartoon drawing as an overlay. I agree that New Blue might be my best idea as they have many of the effects it looks like were used. |
