Rendering to QT = Square PAR

Hi all,

I have my company's bumper which is in QT Animation. Now when I drop it into Vegas and look at it's properties Vegas will tell me that it is a 720x480 LFF with a PAR of 0.9

QT movie inspector however tells me that it is 864x480...?

Now the only thing I wanted to tweak before I could move on was to fade out the end.

Now that this was done I attempted to render it as it was, which is a MOV file using the Animation codec. Rendering was always successful but as the title of my post suggest whatever settings I changed the file or project to didn't matter because all renders would end up with a square PAR.

I drop the file in Vegas, change the project properties to 1,21 (which what it should be), set the file properties to the same value, render it as such and the result is in square pixel.

Now if I drop the resulted file into Vegas now it will tell me that the PAR is 1.0?

Is there anything that I am missing here...

Thanks,

Phil
