Shut Down Computer after Render
This is probably a question just for Edward!!
A friend of mine wants to leave the computer rendering and then go to bed!! He asked me to find out if there is maybe a script that will "exit application and shut down computer" ????? Edward is the scripting pro..is this possible??? Chris |

I would also like a function like this. It should be possible, the Deshaker script can launch external programs I'm sure one could script something to launch a shutdown program after a render.

I always wanted this function until I got a Core i7. Now rendering is so quick that I never need to leave it overnight.
What I would still love to have is a render queue funtion, where I can select 3-4 different projects to render one after the other overnight. Does anybody know if the Sony Production Assistant has this feature? |

As far as I know PA allows you to render multiple projects, as well as Transcoder. Both plug-ins have trial period so you can download and test them.

Use Windows power settings
Hi,
I usually just have the pc hibernate after a few hours. I set the sleep time to about 30 mins or so after the suspected render time. Even sooner will probably work but I add the cushion for safe measure. I'd like to try that script though. Jim |
