I think you're both pretty much saying the same thing actually! As long as the track is in the default source alpha mode then it won't affect the nested veg, but if you change it - or add effects to the track - then it will affect the nested veg. No need to stand corrected Thomas!

yes, I was testing it when you replied Thomas, my "no" was referring to the previous post, but in reading it again Ian was correct in his assumption anyway, I just had to think about it twice.
To sum up " A nested Veg file responds the same way any other media would to any composite mode applied to it." Yeyyyy I think we all agree. :)
