Does deselecting the padlock icon /Sync Cursor,
Man I could have used that tip last night *before* I applied all the borders! Thank you, I'll will try to remember that as well. |

I treat the Sync Cursor like I do Auto Ripple.
That is, it stays off unless I need it and then it gets enabled, used and disabled immediately afterward. |

I agree complete with Mike on this. Mine is ALWAYS off. If I get to a case where I need it, I simply click it twice. As soon as it's turned on, my cursor in the effect box syncs with the timeline. I then immediately turn it back off.
