Vegas Pro 9 64-bit upgrade question

I'm getting ready to upgrade my computer to 64-bit. I checked out these two articles.
Videoguys Blog - Videoguys' DIY7.7: Intel Core i7 with Vista 64 AND Now Windows 7

Answer

I decided to go with the suggested hardware at Videoguys. I have two questions,
Currently I am using Vegas Pro 9.0c 32-bit do I need to purchase the 64-bit version of Vegas
Pro 9? Will Magic bullet looks 1.2 be 64-bit capable?

thanks,

When you purchased Vegas Pro 9, you purchased both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions. All you need to do is download the 64-bit version and your serial number will work in it as well.

As for Magic Bullet, it currently does not work in the 64-bit version. I don't know if or when they will support the 64-bit version.

thanks Edward. Is there a way to work around this?
Can I work in 64-bit for my editing then switch back to the 32-bit version of Vegas when I need to use the MBL's plug-ins?

Yes. You can install both 32-bit and 64-bit on the same machine, do all your editing in 64-bit, save the project, open in 32-bit, apply Magic Bullet, and then render. However, I would tend to simply only use effects that are available in both 32-bit AND 64-bit. There are many that are.
