Flip Video (30p) mixed with 24p footage
I know I know... terrible mistake. I wasn't thinking clearly and certainly hadn't researched before I shot.
Since then I've researched and realized I screwed up and should have just shot everything in 30p. But now what do I do... this is a children's concert/recital. Just dropping the Flip's footage on the 24p timeline doesn't really ruin the shot but it does get out of sync as the clip rolls on. It looks like all the frames are there but after almost an hour I am off by about one second (~20 frames). Do I just need to chop up the Flip footage and sync it song by song? (I just rolled straight through on all 3 cameras.) Btw, the Flip is used just for interesting placement artsy shots (the other two cameras are DVX100a's and they are the main footage.) |

Yes, I would just sync it up and chop up as needed to keep it in sync.
