well it sorta does, because now you push the finger pointing button on the top left of the icons on vegas , and it brings up the tutorials. then there in there tutorials is how to do a text title, and it leads you to all the things you push to do so.

Hi Bruce
I just simply make a red circle in any graphics program and save it as a transparent PNG still. Drop it into a video track above your current one and position it with Track Motion and you are done. However if the "foreign object" moves then you also need to add some keyframes to keep it in place. Chris |

There's no need to use a graphics program to create a circle.
Open the text titler, type a capital O, choose the proper font, size and colour and you're done. If you want something a bit fancier (arrows, etc.) , take a look at your Wingdings font choices. BTW, if this is for one event on a timeline, I'd use Pan/Crop, not Track Motion. This way, you won't need to worry about turning it on and off at the right times. |

Mike,
Thanks so much. Yes open text and use wingding3 and create arrows 45 degree or up and down or side to side. |

I'd open up After Effects and have a shooting star trail circle the object and turn into a metal ring with particles flying off of it. Than have an archer character shoot an arrow (which would of course have to be in slow motion with the wind turbulence visible.) Once the arrow struck the ring, the ring would have to shatter like glass revealing a glowing red molten lava circle which would then cause the arrow to burst into flames and once the cinders of the original arrow drop, a glowing red metallic arrow would be left in it's place.
WOILA! I'll create it and sell it to you for one-million dollars! (in my best Dr. Evil voice...pinky raised) HeHe! feeling like a smartass tonight! The other ideas are good too!
