Vegas 9 and windows 7

Is it worth switching to windows 7(and all the headaches of re-installing software) from Vista for the sole purpose of running vegas 9. Thanks, Bill

I am no pro with video editing, but am a hardcore computer geek that just sucked it up and did this today.

Had Vista Home Premium and Vegas 9.0c - updated FlipShare and Vegas would not render (crashed on "render as"). Had the trial, so bit the bullet and purchased the full version today. No luck.

Long story short, after a loooong day of uninstalling, reinstalling and restoring- decided to format and start clean.

As long as I was doing that, figured I would go Windows 7.

Tonight, tried several renders with not only no problem, but clearly improved performance.

I am sure that part of it is the mess that I had accumulated on Vista, but Windows 7 and Vegas 64bit are working swimmingly together and I couldn't be happier with the clean install.
