Audio Silence from capture hdv?

I am getting a series of AUDIO silences during capture from my HV20. There sound does not drop out from the camera, but only in the timeline. I am not sure why this is happening. If I capture it again, it seems to be ok, but I don't want to have to capture over and over to get rid of this problem - any ideas?

One of our cameras is an HV20 and I haven't seen this problem. Do these gaps show in the peaks? Are they also silent in VLC player?

Does it always capture fine the second time?
