Vegas Pro and the nanoFLASH (I’ve got problems)

I am delighted that my nanoFLASH finally arrived! Unfortunately I seem to have a problem. I don’t know whether it’s the nanoFLASH or me bringing the footage into Vegas so I though I’d asked the best (that’s you by the way). I have posted in the Convergent Design forum and I appear to have the nanoFLASH set up properly so it maybe the way I am bring it into Vegas.

I am recording to Long GoP 1080/50i and 1080/25p at 100Mbps, MXF. I'm just simply dropping the clip onto the timeline in both 8.0c and 9.0c. The latter I am just getting an audio track and in the former a video and audio track, but the video is just red frames. In both the audio works.

HELP!

I've had about two hours kip in 36 hours now trying to sort this pronlem! So excuse me if I get anything muddled up :)

Best regards,

Paul

Although I don't own the nanoflash yet, I still downloaded a 100mbps 24p mxf from the Convergent Design website, and dropped it onto the Vegas 8.0(c) timeline with no problems. It might be worthwhile to download a few of those mxf clips to isolate whether it's a nanoflash hardware problem, or something in the Vegas/PC configuration.

Thanks for the reply Tom. Yes I had downloaded those MXF files and they just worked fine in all the Vegas versions I have.

After a good nights kip and speaking to CD support it appears that the problem isn't the NLE but a hardware problem within the nanoFLASH itself. So it a case of getting that sorted now.
