useable codecs for decklink or intensity cards

Hello

Can anyone tell me what codecs are working with the decklink or intensity cards? Searching through the threads/forums is giving me a headache!

Wow! Nobody?

If I were part of BlackMagicDesign and reading this post, I might be assuming a few things…

You can download the codecs from BM if you do not have the card. If you got the card, you can use the codec supplied and if you are not happy with, you can use the codec installed in your PC, and that list can vary.

You can see that when you capture with the utility, it lists the codec available in your machine.

So instead guessing the list of codec that WOULD work (there are probably more than 100 codecs available today) , it is more productive to use one
you get and that you know it works.

Thanks Giroud,

I was hoping someone might chime in with ANY codecs that work in Vegas with BMD cards, For example does Huffy work with decklink? Raylight work with Intensity? Cineform ever work? DPX? DV? etc?

So i was just wondering what codecs people have used, worked or not worked - that’s all.

BMD MJPEG - yes.
Cineform - yes. I've never needed to go further than this.
