Basic hardware for editing AVCHD
Hi
I've got Vegas 9 Movie Maker and have problems completing renders - just 5 minute movies with AVCHD clips - where an error message finishes the incomplete render, and often closes the app. Seems to handle mt2 files ok. Not sure whether it's my computer or bugs with Vegas. Computer is clean Windows XP pro 32 bit, i7 920 CPU, MSI X58 Pro board, latest Bios 3x 1gb Corsair mem, 400gb system HD, 1TB video hd, Gt9600 Nvidia graphics 650watt Corsair power bluray DVD. I've got a new copy of Magix edit app. I can try that, but can anyone suggest how I test the general stability of my rig before waiting for Vegas until it's stable and bug free. Edit - I'm running prime95 currently.

It seems to work fine with 6gb of physical memory, a bios update and 4gb of virtual memory.
I also reset the bios to failsafe defaults.
