Question on Vegas Pro 9 64bit capturing
Okay I have a tape I shot with my Sony HC7 and I am trying to capture it into Sony Vegas 9 Pro 64 bit. The program has always worked normally but I have never captured with it before (most of my content is transferred from a CF card).
When I select Capture Video from the menu it asks me if I want SD or HD, I select HD. Then the capture box pops up and I select preferences and it detects my Sony HC7 camera. The controls work perfectly to control the camera and everything seems normal. BUT when I click the Start Capture button it makes the camera start playing back but it does not capture anything. The small time display in the bottom right is running and it matches the time display on the camera but the bottom bar where it shows MB captured and Dropped Frames - they both stay at 0. What am I doing wrong or what is missing here ? ? ? Thanks! Bill

I dont' think you're doing anything wrong... The 64-bit version doesn't display the video while capturing... Everything is *probably* working just fine. Just click stop and your clips should be available.

I tried letting it capture the whole video but there is no file when it is finished. :-(
Thanks! Bill
