2 Versions Of Vegas

Can you run the 32 bit and 64 bit versions on the same machine. I have the 64 bit installed, downloaded the 32 bit, and get to the screen about needing privelages, nothing happens..wondering if its possible.

I know of at least one person running 32 and 64 bit on the same system.

I assume you mean the problem arises after installation. Are you in Vista ? If so, try right clicking on the offending icon, and selecting run as administrator.

I run 64 and 32 bit versions on the same machine on both my laptop and my editing machine.

No issues here. I'm running three versions of Vegas, or I should say I have three versions installed. I'm still using 8, but have both versions of 9 installed. Finding 9 still a bit buggy, unfortunately. I must say, despite my lack of luck with 9, Vegas is excellent for it's ability for different versions to coexist on the same machine. I have a friend who is trying to choose his first NLE, and I just cannot recommend (for his purposes) anything else as highly as Vegas.

Yeah, I still have Platinum 8 32-bit on my machine even though I pretty much use 8.0 and 8.1 Pro exclusively. All 3 work fine on my 64-bit Vista machine, though.
