XDCAMfiles and VEgas 8....Results?
Hi, how do the xdcam files run with vegas 8?I can easy edit my m2t of the z1 but never tryied the xdcam videos.

Which camera exactly? For example, the EX1/EX3 require either re-wrapping to MXF using the Sony utility that comes with the camera, or you need Vegas 9 for direct usage without any re-wrapping or re-encoding.

There is no difference in the files produced by either the EX1 or EX3 cameras. As Eugenia mentioned, you will have to re-wrap the .MP4 files to .MXF using Clip Browser (free software included with camera) for Vegas 8. Vegas 9 handles the .MP4 wrapper directly and omits the re-wrapping step.
