RED + Vegas...Feedback
HI all,
In a couple of weeks I will direct a videoclip that will be shot on RED. I have upgraded to 9.0b but of course I don't have any RED files so I can't fool around with them beforehand. So did any of you had any experiences with RED files in Vegas so far? What should I expect previewise and renderwise? Anything special preparation that needs to be done before I transfer the files to my comp? Tricks and tips you discovered? Anyway thanks for the feedback. Phil |

I've only piddled a bit, but so far so good. Files drop right onto the timeline. 9.0a+ allows manipulation of the metadata from inside Vegas. So you can change your gamma, iso, etc. Do you have an FTP server or something? I can send you a couple short .R3d files.

Hi Perrone,
I do have a FTP for my website but it is pretty maxed out. If you don't mind Megaupload go right ahead ;) Did you also did any render? I plan on editing the videoclip on a i7 based laptop, I guess that should be enough. Thanks Phil |
