Correct use of Secondary Color Correction
I use primary color correction in Vegas 8 and now 9 constantly. I'm not sure I understand the correct time in the workflow and methodology for using secondary color correction and its fundamental purpose as aoposed to primary correction.
Any pointers? |

I believe Color Correction adjusts the overall color balance and exposure. Adjustments effect the entire image. Secondary CC is used after the overall adjustments are done. It's used to modify a single color, such as changing the jersey color of a football player.
The overall CC should be done first. |

Thanks Paul, I'll have to give Sedondary CC a try with that in mind.

Yeah Paul, thats kind of what I do too. I use Colour correction to balance all the colours on individual clips, and also to acheive the desired look/colour for the sequnece by using a further CC filter on the Output FX. I use the secondary CC for colour effects or when I just need to tweak one thing a little bit without disrupting the whole image.
