AVCHD & HDV in Veg 8.1

I'm interested in comments re mixing the above in a project as I have not done this before. I'm in PAL land - (sigh, - bliss), and notice AVCHD is upper field first & HDV is lower field by default as an example. Should I set them the same or doesn't it matter ?

Any othe things to look out for ? -

I wish to have an AVCHD track above an HDV and cut back & forth with a common synced sound track.

Thanks.

You are mistaken. They are both upper field, so you can just go ahead and mix them. It's DV that's lower field, not HDV.
