Vegas 8, audio sync problem with render?
I’m having a sync issue with rendering out to H.264 from Vegas 8.
For some reason the audio is slightly out from the visual. Has this happened to anyone? The time line is 1440 x 1080/50i and I want to make a mpeg-4 or H.264 file for a client. The template in the render section is 1280 x 720 and the field dominance is set to progressive so the client can upload to the web. Oh and the bit rate is set to variable. Can anyone advise me on this problem. Thanks |

This has happened to me with Vegas from time to time over the years. I did EVERYTHING I could think of to solve the problem and the only answer I could come up with (after asking Edward Troxel, Spot and a bunch of other good folks) was this. Re-render the piece.
Yep, that's been the only way I could fix it. Just some sort of internal glitch-either the computer or the program but the few times it's happened, the footage was like a dubbed Japanese Kung-Fo movie and it almost made me laugh. Wish I had a more difinitive answer but like I said the only way I found to fix was to render the piece again.

Thanks Don,
I have re rendered a few times and it is hard to tell if the sync is getting tighter. I'll keep mucking around with it. Cheers |
