Sony Vegas Platinum 9 Problem
Hi all,
Often, when I hit the 'play' button to review footage in the timeline, the timeline cursor will jump ahead one frame and halt. No playback happens and I find myself having to hit 'stop' and 'play' repeatedly until playback runs normally. It's like the computer needs to be prodded repeatedly until it wakes up and executes the command. :( I have the same problem with the Audacity audio editor I have installed on my system. Any idea what could be causing this? I doubt that Vegas or Audacity are the problem. I'm thinking some sort of hardware glitch may be the problem, or possibly even an OS issue may be at fault. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium on a machine with an AMD 2.8Ghz dual-core processor, 3GB of RAM and a BFGTech video card with 512MB RAM using the nVidia 8800GT graphics processor. Sound is being run through a Line 6 TonePort USB audio interface with the onboard RealTek audio disabled. Ideas, anyone? |

Sorry but I've never heard of anything like that before. Since it's happening with multiple apps, it definitely seems to be a system issue. Then the question becomes - hardware or software issue?
