720p and 1080p in same video...Project settings?
So I have shots in both 1080 and 720 I need for a video...both 24p, transcoded with neoscene...
Most of the clips are 1080. The output will be to standard def DVD. Any advice on what project settings to use? Or any other thoughts? Thanks, Bob T.

Hi Bob,
When I use different frame sizes I usually set the project settings to match the highest resolution footage I have. So for instance, I usually shoot HDV and use Cineform to create a 1920x1080 master. I also cut in SD or perhaps 1280x720 footage but I set the project settings to 1920x1080. In your case naturally you'd set the timeline to 24p. That seems to give the best overall results and allows me to render for DVD or BR. Garrett |
