Upgrade from Version 6.0d to what version?
Hi:
I currently have Vegas Pro 6.0d and want to upgrade to a stable version that supports AVCHD. I do not necessarily need all the bells and whistles -- just want a version that is very stable and works well with Cineform Neoscene. What would your recommendation be? Regards, Alan |

I'd consider Vegas 8. Some are finding Vegas 9 a bit buggy, but Vegas 8 seems to handle AVCHD pretty well, though many feel the footage needs converted prior to editing no matter which version you use.
You might go to the classifieds and see if you can get a deal on someone's Vegas 8. The special upgrade pricing on Vegas 9 expires soon (not sure when) so you would be wise to make your move fairly soon if you are considering Version 9. |

June 30 is the deadline for the introductory pricing & free software offer.

Hi Alan,
You will better off to get the Vegas 8 at the present time. There are problems with the Vegas 9 Cineform and other issues. Matthew
