Any way of turning smart re-sample off permanently?

As per the title.
Im using Vegas pro 8c and now i have (and will have) a lot of clips that are recorded in double PAL (50P fps) from a Panasonic Lumix TZ7. I dont have any settings to change this, its only a P&S camera.
Vegas insists on re sampling the clips and my output ends up with a lot of ghosting. If i disable the smart re sample everything looks great but its a pain to have to do this to all the clips, one by one.
Ive tried selecting them all from the time line but i do get the right settings come up in properties if i do it this way.
Im using the Sony AVC codec set to 1280x720 25p, mainly for uploading to vimeo.

Not a total novice with Vegas but still a long way off from knowing my way around it.

Thanks for any help.

Dave.
