If I sell my copy of Vegas 8 , how does the next owner register....is there a problem?

YOU contact Sony Customer Service. You tell them you're selling your copy of Vegas, give them your serial number, give them all the contact info for the person you're selling it to, and they will typically send a NEW serial number to the buyer.

The only catch is that if this version was purchased as the result of an upgrade, it can't be used for that purpose by the new owner.
You might want to wait until next week for the sale though as word on the forums is that there may be an upgrade announcement at NAB. |

Thanks guys. It is an original not an upgrade, but will wait as suggested to see what turns up next week.

I believe the restriction is that if a version has already been upgraded (e.g. you sell your V7 after you used the serial number to buy an upgrade to V8) then of course the buyer of your V7 will not be able to upgrade to V8 again using his V7 serial number. Richard |
