Audio not importing
I am trying to import a file that was rendered in vegas 7 from another computer to my laptop. The video imports fine, but the audio does not show up. It plays fine in wmp and all the other apps I have that will play video. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

What format is the audio? What type of file are you trying to import?

Importing a file
It is an mpg file. The audio is the default setting for the DVD NTSC template

Can you render it out as DV-AVI instead?
The audio will be there and the picture will be higher quality. |

AVI File
Tried that. It does not work. The original file was an mpg file.

Then render the mpeg file out as DV-AVI and bring that into your laptop.
You're missing a codec on your laptop that you have on your desktop which is why the audio isn't coming in. |

File
That was my first thought, but why would it play in WMP?

WMP can play all kinds of files (like DivX & XviD) that won't play properly in Vegas, even with the codecs installed on your computer.
