Lower thirds help.

Hi lower thirds gurus; after 2 months that i've been using Vegas i decided yesterdayto start in making lower thirds.Unfortunately i have to tell you that i feel so UNABLE in doing it.
For example: in the first track i have the nameof the person;
on the second ivideo track i would liketo put a little video with object moving in the black background; on the third i would like to put a colored line where everything(descrbed above is inside).
Any suggestions?Thank you guys for your help....

Top track -text

Middle track - background for lower third IE generated media sized and position or whatever you use for the background

Bottom track- video

In addition to Don's advice, take a glance at the link below. Also, worth doing a search on 'lower third' on this forum - there are a number of useful threads. Finally, check out Edward Troxel's excellent newsletters, one (at least) of which has a tutorial on creating a lower third. Good luck.
