Sound Edits at Audio Sample Rate?
I've read that Vegas started as a sound editing program. Does anyone know if Vegas can create audio edit points at increments other than the video frame rate of the project?
For example, my project is 23.976 FPS and I want to splice dialogue at a point in between two frames. Because my audio is sampled at 48khz, this is technically possible, but in Avid MC (and the majority of other other NLE's) it can't be done. I know audio specialty programs like Pro Tools do audio sample rate edits, as can Avid's DS. I'm wondering if Vegas can also do this, being that it is very highly regarded esp. in the area of audio editing. Thanks much! |

Vegas does this as well.
Turn off "Quantize to Frames" (under the Options menu or Alt+F8) and edit at the audio sample level all day long :-) Just remember to turn this back on before doing any video editing. |
