Video only to the timeline
I'd like just the video (no audio) on the timeline when I add it from the project media. The "rebuilding peaks" is driving me nuts for audio that I do not want from the cam. How can I do this?

You can right-click the clip, drag it to the timeline, and choose "Video Only".
If you turn off "Waveforms and frames", the peaks won't build. However, you'll also loose the little picons on the video clips on the timeline as well.

Beautiful! Just tried it and it worked like a charm. Thank-you Edward.

In the Trimmer, when you have a selection highlighted, the tab key will toggle between Video only, Audio only, Video and Audio. I find it a handy shortcut.
