Rendering format/Scene detection

Is it possible to render my HDV footage in a format that still keeps the scene detection intact? I need this when I have to take a secure copy of my temporarily edited movie.

Not that I'm aware of; you need the T/C breaks for SD. you could render regions and then manually sequentially print them to tape?

Thanks for the answer. I'm going to save the edited parts of my video back to the HDV camera.
