Import Memory Recording Unit in VMS9

Does anybody know what this option is under import in Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9? Is it for sound mixing?

Thanks in advance.

I use Vegas Pro so i cannot say for sure but I would imagine it is for importing clips from the SONY HVR-MRC1 known as the "memory recording unit" which is a firewire based CF recorder for 1080i or 480i video.
