Hmmmm..... Decisions, decisions.....

VASST?.. Excalibur?.. VASST?.. Excalibur?.. My head is spinning....

Anyone used/using both and can give a meaningful comparison?

Obviously, VASST is more expensive. Is it worth that extra expense? What does it do that Excalibur doesn't? VASST seems to have a lot of additional bolt-on goodies - again at more expense.

Hmmm...... Decisions, decisions.....

I use Ultimate S. That is what I know. I love it.

On the other hand, you can download trials of both. Excalibur works with Vegas 8.1, Ultimate S does not, unless they have updated it.

I started with Tsunami and upgraded to Excalibur. I use it all the time and I like it. Similar to Jeff I haven't used Ultimate S.

I too started with Edwards Tsunami and Neon whic over the years morphed into Excalibur. It's the one I've been using since it came out. While I know that Ultimate S is also a quality product I don't know enough about it to judge. All I know is Excalibur works great for me and the other plugins I have from VASST work great as well.
They both have free DL trial versions try 'em, see which one you like best.

Thanks guys. Difficult when it's a split decision. ;-)

Guess I'll just have to do the trials as suggested and take it from there. It'll probably be a couple of weeks - I'll wait 'til I have all the footage from this French project and try them both out on that and see which of them works best for me.

The plan is to set it up as a 3 camera shoot (albeit each on a seperate night!) It's going to be an interesting one on so many levels.
