DVD wont play..Do I need Decoder? Vegas and Arc Pro 5.0
I just did a fresh install on a new puter of Windows XP Pro, SonyVegas8.0c and DVD Architect Pro 5.0. That is all that is on this machine.... I tried the DVD player to see if it works and none of my commercial DVD's Play I tried an off the shelf instructional DVD, I tried a Divxx DVD, nothing. I am playing through Windows Media Player. Do i need a separete program to play DVD's? i thought Sony DVD Arc pro would do this? What am i missing?
Thanks |

As I recall, you do need some type of software player.
Two good ones that come to mind (both free) are Media Player Classic and VLC. |

DVD Arch is an authoring program not a playing program. As Mike suggested you need some type of software to play the DVDs.
