Sony Creative Software can transfer the licence for you to the new owner. On the Sony site under customer services I think it is, there is a link to 'licence transfers'.
I've done it twice. |

You can always just call Customer Service and they can help you do it. You may need to wait until tomorrow (as today's a holiday).

Sorry about that Jeff. I wrote that some time ago on another site, and simply uplifted it thinking it still applied. But I just had a look myself and you're right, it is not there now.
I wonder why - or wonder if it is only there when a new version comes out. I will be interested to know how you get on, as I've upgraded and transferred my licence every time a new version comes out. |

Maybe you can try that:
Go to your Sony support page and choose " Category > Activation/Serial Number > Licence Transfers ". |

I was wrong. I went to the knowledgebase, found the category. It led to completely unrelated stuff. Please forget I brought this up. I'm calling them. Thanks for your help, everyone.

Gillies: How do you get to that page in your thumbnail?
What are the steps from the home page of SonyCreativeSoftware.com? I'm blowed if I can find what you've shown. I'd like to know for future reference - and it is good to have in the archives. |

FWIW, the phone call to customer support handled the transfer in almost no time.
