Vegas 8 multicam FX loss
I have a two camera project which after edit cam 1 has video FX and several audio tracks with FX. Cam 2 has only video FX. I want to keep all the FXs but when I enable multicam in Vegas 8 it warns you that the FXs etc. will be lost in this mode. You would then have to add video FX to every clip depending on camera selection and completely remix the audio. I have done a few two camera projects by selecting the cameras with cut/paste (earlier Vegas). Any help/ideas would be appreciated!

Apply the effects to the media in the Project Media tab instead of on the timeline (either event or track). By applying it in the Project Media, it will apply everywhere that clip is used - even on the multi-cam track.
If you use one of the script multi-cam options (i.e. Excalibur or Ultimate S) then you CAN put the effects on the events and they'll propogate up to the Master track.

Vegas multicam Fx loss
Thanks for the fast reply. I did purchase Excalibur several months ago but never have tried it. Maybe now is the time.
