Thinking of upgrading to 8.1
Quick question. If I'm running XP 64 and I have VAAST installed, should I upgrade to 8.1? Reading thru the threads I'm unsure that it even supports XP 64 and VAAST might get broken.

There are reports of people running 8.1 on XP64 but it's not "officially supported". I haven't heard anything definitive on the VASST tools. I have heard from users that Excalibur does work in the new version.

I've seen nothing on 8.1 breaking anything. 32 bit plug-ins, for the most part, just won't work with it. Vegas 8.1 installation shouldn't hurt anything, and your 32 bit version of Vegas should run just fine with 8.1 installed. They seem to co-exist together just fine. I think it is cool if Excalibur works with it, but I know Ultimate S didn't work for me with it.
